We are currently open to visitors. Only 2 visitors are allowed per visit, no children under the age of 12. All visitors will need to wear the proper PPE and be screened before going to patient’s room. Visitors will not be allowed to roam the halls; they will need to stay in patients room for the duration of the visit. Bathrooms are provided for visitors. We are following the guidelines set by CMS and The State of New Mexico.
The staff at Santa Fe Care Center wanted to update you all on what’s happening here at the center with your loved ones.
Unfortunately, the center had to restrict visitors and family members due to the Coronavirus outbreak to protect our residents from being infected. So far we are still 100% symptom free due to our efforts to keep everyone safe.
We have purchased 2 iPads and set them up for face to face interaction between families and residents (see attached). The activities department manager Krystal will have a schedule for 10-minute phone contacts for all residents who request this. There are numerous phone calls coming to the center by certain families. We request that those large families limit one family member per day to call and talk to the resident. You will need to work out a schedule for who calls when. We will also be purchasing 2 cell phones that will be for contacting the residents as well.
We all understand how difficult this is for everyone. We appreciate everyone’s patience with our staff who are caring for your family member.
